I saw your post on the blog at photoblogs.org on the post about RSS regarding your perl script. I’m not really that clued up on programming et al but your script detects chanages in a given directory and writes the result to an rss feed right? If this is so it could be of huge interest to donald tetto of http://folderblog.tetto.org who has developed a nice little php script which can easily run a photoblog; currently he’s looking at ways to integrate an rss feed into the program. Why I’m saying this is because folderblog works by the user dragging an image into a directory on their server and the script then displays images in chronological order from date added. If your script can get the latest image from the photos directory could it not also be modified to get the title of the image (which is stored in the same directory under the same name with a .txt extension) and possibly even be modified to display the latest comments added (which are wrriten to a comments directory)?
As I said this may just be my ignorance talking but it might be interesting to take a look at folderblog and see if there is a possibility for integration of your rss script with it for v3.0
