Just having a little fun for Friday the 13th. This was shot in color and I desaturated everything but the door in the Gimp, a free photoshop-like app. I originally wanted to try and reproduce the effect of hand-coloring a mildly underexposed black and white print but this was what I came up with quick and dirty. Color’s too rich for hand-colored but it’s nice all the same.

I fly out tonight for 10 days in Rio de Janeiro. That means no more updates for the duration. That’s the bad news. The good news is upon my return, assuming I don’t get rolled for all my camera gear and a kidney, everyone should be able to live vicariously through my photos. Can’t wait for some lounging in the sun. And I’m out…
